Parvac is an inactivated (killed) vaccine for the immunisation of dogs against canine parvovirus.
Parvac may be used as part of a vaccination program in puppies at high risk of exposure to parvovirus. This includes dogs living in endemic parvovirus areas or where they are socialising from a very young age with other dogs of unknown vaccination history. Further, some breeds of dog are more susceptible to parvovirus than others. Puppies at high risk may be vaccinated every 2 to 3 weeks from 6 weeks of age through to 20 weeks of age.
Parvac may also be used to safely vaccinate pregnant bitches, to boost the level of maternal immunity available to the puppies when they are born.
